How to ensure the normal operation of the coupling?
The pump wheel of the hydraulic coupling is not equal to the blade number of the turbine. The purpose is to avoid the vibration caused by the periodic impact of the fluid pulsation on the working wheel. The blades of the coupler are generally made in plane radial direction, and the manufacturing is simple. The working wheels are made of aluminum alloy, and some are made by stamping and welding. The latter method has lower cost and lighter quality.
Half of the blades of the hydraulic coupling and the turbine have a piece or corner cut off at the end. This is because the blades are radially arranged, the distance between the blades at the inner edge of the working wheel is smaller than that at the outer edge. When the liquid flows from the outer edge of the turbine through the inner edge of the pump wheel, the liquid is squeezed.
Torque limit hydraulic couplings should be used as far as possible. The upper limit of transfer power of the torque limiting fluid coupling corresponds to 80% filling liquid, and the lower limit of transfer power corresponds to the 50% filling rate. Because the performance curve of high liquid filling rate is better than that of low liquid filling rate, and the unstable region of the coupling is narrowed when the liquid filling rate is high, the smaller size and high impact coupling should be chosen as far as possible, instead of the lower liquid filling rate and larger size coupling. Hydraulic coupling has no function to protect motor voltage drop overload, so long-term low voltage motor matching coupling should pay attention to overload protection. Some data show that the voltage drops by 10% on the same day, and the motor is overloaded while the coupling is not overloaded when the motor is running at full load, so it will not cause heating spray and protect the motor. The solution is to reduce the liquid filling rate of the coupling, reduce the output torque, so that it is possible to protect the motor from burning when overloaded.
